The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) winning coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, and his standout forward, Godwin Obaje, have been nominated for the Manager and Player of the Month awards, respectively.
The awards, organized by the League Bloggers Award and powered by 54footballx, recognize the best performances for May and June.
Ilechukwu, who led his team to the NPFL title, is up for Manager of the Month. Other nominees in this category include Kennedy Boboye of Sunshine Stars, Majin Mohammed of Niger Tornadoes, and Meremu Okara of Bayelsa United.
In the Player of the Month category, Godwin Obaje faces stiff competition. The nominees include the top scorer of the recently concluded season, Chijioke Mbaoma of Enyimba FC, Christian Pyagbara of 3SC, John Bassey of Bayelsa United, Jonathan Alukwu of Sporting Lagos, and Sani Suleiman of Akwa United.
