Remo Stars have handed head coach Daniel Ogunmodede a new three-year contract, a significant boost ahead of their CAF Champions League playoff against Morocco’s AS FAR on Sunday. Ogunmodede, who has led the Sky Blue Stars to consecutive second-place finishes in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), expressed his delight at the extension.

“This is my club, my project. I’ve been here for years now, doing my thing and working relentlessly hard with a consistent behavioral pattern,” Ogunmodede told the NPFL media.

“The good thing is I am happy that the club is able to see what I’ve done so far to have counted me worthy to have another (contract) extension. It is a big motivation for me to know that they appreciate what I’ve done so far.”
