Today will see the resumption of the 2022/23 English Premier League following a six-week break for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. We take a look at Nigerian players who will be in action for their various clubs today ahead of the 1:30pm kick-off.

Frank Onyeka’s Brentford who are currently 10th on the log will resume with an home clash against fourth placed Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, the first game of the league continuation.

With a lot of inside worries by fans and management, Alex Iwobi will be hoping to continue his brilliant run of form in bid to get the Toffees up and avoid another relegation battle when they come up against Wolves.

Everton are placed 17th with 14 points and wolves are languishing at the bottom of the league table on ten points.

Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho’s Foxes have a daunting task at hand when they face a resurgent and high flying Newcastle. Battle of the third placed Magpies and 13th placed Leicester.

Joe Aribo’s Southampton aren’t left out in the encounter. Currently placed 19th in the relegation zone, the former Rangers man will hope to get a starting nod as they fight thier way out of the mix against 7th placed Brighton.

Brentford vs Tottenham will kick off by 1:30pm as Everton vs Wolves, Leicester vs Newcastle, Southampton vs Brighton scheduled for 4:00pm respectively.
