Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has been voted Player of the Season by French Ligue 1 Club, Lille, The Athletic NG reports.
The Nigeria international scored 18 goals and provided 6 assists in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Great Danes before the season in France was aborted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 21-year-old joined Lille from Belgian Pro League club Sporting Charleroi last summer, was also named in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season.
The former Wolfsburg striker has been linked with a move away from Lille following an impressive debut campaign in France.
Premier League title hopefuls, Liverpool are said to be interested in his services, while Chelsea, Tottenham and Serie A giant Napoli are also keen to lure the striker away from Lille.
Lille values their price asset at €100 million, which will make Osimhen the most expensive African football in the history.
Lille are known for producing top young talents and last season sold Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal for a club-record fee of £72 million, while the club also gave Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard the opportunity to join Chelsea.
