Super Eagles of Nigeria Head Coach, Jose Peseiro says he wants his team to defeat Saudi Arabia when both countries meet in an International Friendly game on Friday, October 13.
Nigeria and Saudi Arabia will be facing each other for a second time at Full international level, the first in May 2010 ending in a goalless draw.
Interestingly, current Nigeria Head Coach, Jose Peseiro was the Saudi Arabia coach at the time.
As he prepares to face his former employers, Peseiro wants the victory to beat the last team that defeated World Champions, Nigeria
Peseiro said “They are a good opposition. They were the last team to beat Argentina, and I hope it will be a good match for our team.
” Hopefully, we will be on the front foot during the game, then, we can talk about the match against Mozambique,” the 63-year-old mentioned in his pre-match conference.
“‘We want to beat Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers because Nigeria must play the next World Cup.” Peseiro remarked.
If Nigeria wins, it will be a fourth consecutive win for Jose Peseiro’s men whose last game was a 6-0 spanking of Sao Tome and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The game vs Saudi Arabia will be played in Portugal by 5pm before the Eagles take on Mozambique in another Friendly match, on the 16th.
