Super Eagles and Red Star Belgrade forward Peter Olayinka has won the Serbian Cup with Red Star Belgrade.

The 29-year-old striker scored 10 goals in all competitions for Red Star Belgrade – nine in the league and one in cup games.

Peter Olayinka joined the Serbian giants in the summer of 2023 from Czech Republic side Slavia Prague.

Olayinka has now won the double with his club having already won the Serbian league.

The Nigerian forward helped Red Star Belgrade to win the Serbian League title on Friday night after he scored just after half an hour mark to seal a 2-1 victory over city rivals, Partizan Belgrade to win the League title.

The 29-year-old added the Serbian Cup to the league title won a fortnight ago to make it back-to-back doubles since moving to the club.

The Serbian champions got off to a bright start after Mirko Ivanic opened the scoring after 37 minutes. Ivanic finished off a brilliant move after connecting to a Cherif Ndiaye pass.

Uros Spajic doubled the lead in the 65th minute after smashing home from an In-Beom Hwang assist.

However, Vojvodina pulled one back late in the game through Aleksa Vukanovic.

The Nigerian international has been an integral part of the team since joining them from Slavia Prague in the summer of 2023.

Tuesday’s victory marked Belgrade’s seventh Serbian Cup. The Serbian side becomes the first team to sweep both the Serbian Cup and league titles four times in a row.
