Broadcaster, Piers Morgan says Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and other footballers who break lockdown rule should be banned when football restarts after tarnishing the Premier League’s reputation.

Hudson-Odoi becomes the latest footballer to come under fire for breaking lockdown rules.

According to ESPN, Hudson-Odoi was arrested and taken into custody in the early hours of Monday, after allegedly inviting a woman to his house but was subsequently released on bail and the woman taken to hospital.

Morgan slammed the Chelsea teenager for the behaviour and calls him an “idiot.”

He wrote on Twitter: “These idiots unfairly tarnish the reputations of all footballers, and make a mockery of the ‘safety first’ plan to bring back the Premier League.

“They should be told if they get caught breaking lockdown rules like this, they’re banned from playing if football restarts.”

Hudson-Odoi was one of the first footballers in the UK to test positive for COVID-19 in March alongside Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta.

He is the latest footballer break the coronavirus lockdown rules during the crisis.

Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker hosted a sex party, four Arsenal players, Alexandre Lacazette, David Luiz, Nicholas Pepe and Granit Xhaka were all dealt with by the Gunners after the players were seen in public flouting the restrictions in April.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho led a training session with three players in a public park which brought controversy to his team.
