Rangers International seals partnership with Swiss club

Rangers International of Enugu, has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with Swiss side FC Schaffhausen, marking a significant step in fostering international football relations.

The agreement aims to create a mutually beneficial collaboration between the two clubs, focusing on talent exchange, skill development, and strategic growth.

Speaking about the partnership, FC Schaffhausen’s representative, Mr. Jimmy Berisha, expressed his excitement:

“I am very happy. We are looking forward to a sporting and strategic cooperation. We aim to welcome Nigerian players from Enugu Rangers and host their coaches to share knowledge and resources. This partnership will benefit both clubs and create opportunities for everyone involved.”

The collaboration is expected to establish a seamless pathway for Nigerian talents to transition to European football while enhancing the technical expertise of both clubs’ staff.

Enugu Rangers’ CEO, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership, which aligns with the club’s long-term development goals and the vision of the Enugu State government.

“Our partnership with FC Schaffhausen is a key part of our strategic plan. When the Governor reviewed the proposal, he was enthusiastic about the opportunities it offers and approved its conclusion,” Ezeaku explained.

The agreement is exclusively focused on the Swiss region and aims to expose players and coaches from Enugu Rangers to European football culture, further solidifying the club’s commitment to player and staff development.

Ezeaku remarked, “The warm reception we’ve received here in Schaffhausen strengthens the bond between the Cantone of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and Enugu State as a whole.”

Rangers, the reigning NPFL champions with an impressive haul of eight league titles and five national cups, see this collaboration as an opportunity to enhance their players’ skills and increase their visibility on the global stage.

This partnership is a promising initiative that sets the stage for impactful player development and cross-cultural exchange.
