Manchester City record goalscorer, Sergio Kun Aguero will miss the rest of the season after it was confirmed that the striker damaged his knee in the game against Burnley on Monday.
The Argentine forward appeared to have difficulty in his movements in the latter stages of the first half and was replaced at the start of the second half by Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus.
Aguero will now miss Manchester City’s Champions League last 16 second-leg clash with Real Madrid in August.
The scans I did this morning have confirmed that I have damaged my left knee. It’s a pity but I’m in good spirits and so focused to come back as soon as possible. Thank you very much for all your messages!
