Following her outstanding performance for Leicester City, Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has been nominated for the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ February Player of the Month award once more.
In the two games Leicester played in February against Birmingham City and West Ham United, Plumptre was outstanding.
Following a critical 2-1 victory over the Blues at St. Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium to open the month, LCFC Women went on to treble their points count against the Hammers at Pirelli Stadium.
The Super Falcons defender also assisted Leicester City in winning successive Barclays FA Women’s Super League games for the first time in the club’s history, with the Foxes climbing two places in the league position as a result of their efforts.
Millie Bright (Chelsea), Jess Carter (Chelsea), Alex Greenwood (Manchester City), Ashleigh Neville (Tottenham), and Plumptre’s Leicester City teammate, Jemma Purfield, are all in the running for the award.
