Victor Osimhen FINALLY scores for Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has finally opened his goal account for Galatasaray, netting a brace in their dramatic 3-3 draw with Kenneth Omeruo’s Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.

The Nigerian striker, who joined Galatasaray in the summer, helped his side take an early 2-0 lead with goals in the 20th and 28th minutes. His first strike came after a well-timed run, while his second was a clinical finish, doubling the advantage for the hosts. Mauro Icardi added a third for the Cim-Bom just before halftime, seemingly putting Galatasaray on course for their fifth consecutive league victory.

However, Kasimpasa staged an incredible comeback. Mamadou Fall pulled one back for the visitors in the 44th minute to give them hope before Haris Hajradinovic narrowed the deficit further with a late goal in the 83rd minute. In a stunning twist, Nuno Da Costa equalised in the 90th minute, salvaging a point for Kasimpasa and denying Galatasaray what appeared to be a comfortable win.

Despite the disappointing result, Osimhen’s performance was a significant milestone as he finally found the net for his new club. His brace was a promising sign for Galatasaray, who remain unbeaten in the league but will be frustrated by their inability to hold on to the lead.

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk will now look to tighten up his team’s defence after they allowed a 3-0 lead to slip away. Meanwhile, Kenneth Omeruo’s Kasimpasa will be pleased with their resilience, having fought back to secure a point from a challenging position.

The result leaves Galatasaray at the top of the Super Lig standings, while Kasimpasa sit mid-table, continuing to show competitive spirit under Sami Ugurlu.
