Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha last night sent an open message to Arsenal apparently begging the club to sign him.
Zaha was on the brink of joining the Gunners last summer before the club decided to sign his compatriot Nicolas Pepe from Lille.
Crystal Palace demanded Arsenal or any other suitor will pay £80 million for the Ivory Coast international who now has two years remaining in the long term deal he signed in 2018.
Reports in the transfer market emerged that Palace will consider selling Zaha for £30 million and the winger wants to force a move to his boyhood club.
The 27-year-old is an Arsenal fan and has made it public on several occasions of his desire to play for the North London club.
Last night, Zaha was spotted pointing at a sign in a night club that reads: “Zaha to Arsenal.” The video which was posted by Anthony Billing has gone viral on social media.
Billing posted on Instagram: “So me and Wilfried Zaha have a message for you guys at Arsenal. If you don’t sign this man up, you lot are f*cking stupid, you know the price is easy in today’s market.”
In June, Zaha told former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand that it was amazing for Arsenal to be interested in him.
“It was nice. Supporting them and having them wanting you at the same time, leaves you thinking: ‘this is amazing,” Zaha told Rio Ferdinand.
“But things never worked out so you just have to move on as quickly as possible. I was thinking this may happen and my family was saying ‘wow it’s Arsenal,’ but yeah it just didn’t work out.
“I’m 27, trophies is what it’s all about. If there’s opportunities for me to win trophies then 100 per cent.”
