Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, bringing an end to the prolonged uncertainty surrounding his future.
The Super Eagles forward, who has had a turbulent relationship with his current club Napoli, particularly after a controversial social media incident last season, is now poised to make a move to Turkey.
Osimhen was previously linked with high-profile moves to Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli and Premier League side Chelsea, but both deals ultimately fell through. Paris Saint-Germain had also shown interest in securing the services of the prolific striker. However, it is Galatasaray who have emerged as the frontrunners, with the club keen to finalize the deal swiftly.
According to reports, Osimhen has agreed to join Galatasaray on loan, but he is seeking a review of certain terms in his contract with Napoli.

One key point of negotiation is Osimhen’s request for a reduction in his release clause from €130 million to €75 million, as well as the inclusion of a break clause in January that would allow him to explore potential moves to other top European clubs.
Galatasaray is reportedly prepared to cover €9-10 million of Osimhen’s salary for the duration of the loan, with the deal not including any buy option or obligation clause. The Turkish club has already arranged a private jet to bring Osimhen to Istanbul once all details are finalized.
Fabrizio Romano, a prominent sports journalist, provided further insight into the situation, stating, “Victor Osimhen has accepted to join Galatasaray on loan. Understand Osimhen is now asking for his release clause at Napoli to become €75 million instead of €130 million. He also wants a break clause for January in case top clubs approach him over a move.”
