Super Eagles star Victor Boniface has hailed Nigerian legendary footballer Obafemi Martins after recently meeting him. The Bayer Leverkusen forward is currently on vacation in Nigeria after helping his club secure their first Bundesliga title.
Boniface returned to Nigeria for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, where the team failed to secure maximum points. During his vacation, he has been reconnecting with friends, family, celebrities, and legendary football stars.
In a notable encounter, Boniface met with Obafemi Martins and expressed his admiration by sharing a picture of their meeting on Twitter with the caption, “Respect.”
Martins, during his illustrious playing career, made 42 appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring 18 goals and providing one assist.
The photograph also featured fellow Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, as both strikers met with the former Nigerian international. Boniface’s vacation has been filled with various activities, including a boat cruise with Nigerian celebrities Charles Okocha and Cubana Chief Priest.
