Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been named to the Serie A Team of the Week following his impressive performance for Atalanta in their 3-2 victory over Fiorentina.
Lookman, 26, returned to action after missing Atalanta’s first three games due to transfer talks linking him to French champions Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League club Arsenal.
He made an immediate impact, scoring one goal and assisting another to secure Atalanta’s second win of the season.

The former Leicester City player joins Romelu Lukaku and Florian Thauvin in the forward line of the Serie A Team of the Week.
The midfield consists of Christian Pulisic, Youssouf Fofana, Iling Junior Samuel, and Mateo Zaccagni, while the defense features Denzel Dumfries, Theo Hernandez, and Alessandro Buongiorno. Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret completes the starting eleven.
AC Milan and Napoli have the most players in the Team of the Week, with both teams registering 4-0 wins in the latest game week.
However, Samuel Chukwueze, who played just 11 minutes for Milan, failed to make the cut.
Lookman’s performances have drawn praise from fans and pundits alike. His speed, skill, and goal-scoring ability make him a valuable asset to Atalanta.
The Nigerian forward has also caught the attention of the national team, earning call-ups to the Super Eagles.
“Ademola Lookman is a talented player who has finally found his footing in Serie A,” said football analyst, John Ogunbiyi. “His pace and agility make him a nightmare for defenders. He’s definitely one to watch this season.”
