After Victor Osimhen, another Super Eagles star is joining Galatasaray

After concluding a loan move for Victor Osimhen, Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly on the verge of landing another Super Eagles top player.

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Turkish champions, paving the way for a potential move to the club.

Onyedika, 23, is set to join compatriot Victor Osimhen, who signed for Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last week.

According to sources, Galatasaray have offered Onyedika a five-year contract, which he has accepted.

However, the Turkish club still needs to agree on a transfer fee with Onyedika’s current club, Club Brugge.

Galatasaray’s initial bid of €5 million has been rejected by the Belgian side, who are holding out for a significantly higher offer.

Onyedika has been a key player for Club Brugge since joining from Midtjylland two years ago, and the Belgian club is keen to make a profit on their investment.

With three years left on his current contract, Onyedika is in a strong bargaining position, and Galatasaray may need to increase their offer to €15 million to secure his signature.

If the transfer goes through, Onyedika will join a Galatasaray side that has been active in the transfer market this summer.

The Turkish champions have already signed players like Gabriel Sara, Elias Jelert, and Ismail Jakobs, and are keen to add Onyedika to their midfield options.

The move would also reunite Onyedika with Osimhen, who has already made a significant impact at Galatasaray.

The Nigerian striker has been praised by manager Jose Mourinho, who described him as a “fantastic signing” for the club.

With Osimhen already making waves in Turkey, Onyedika’s arrival could further strengthen the Super Eagles’ representation in the continent.

However, the transfer is not without its challenges. Club Brugge’s valuation of Onyedika may prove to be a stumbling block, and Galatasaray may need to negotiate hard to secure his signature.

Nevertheless, the prospect of Onyedika joining Osimhen at Galatasaray is an exciting one for Nigerian football fans, and could potentially lead to further success for the Super Eagles in the future.
