English Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Arsenal are in a hot race to sign Lecce’s promising 19-year-old defender, Patrick Dorgu.
The Nigerian left-back has caught the attention of top European clubs with his impressive performances in Serie A, scoring two goals and creating three big chances in 17 starts last season.
According to reports from Calcio Lecce, the Italian club is demanding a minimum of €30 million for Dorgu during this summer’s transfer window. Despite his young age, Dorgu has already shown immense potential, prompting interest from top Premier League clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur, although not desperate for a left-back, sees Dorgu as a valuable addition due to his potential. The club has previously found success with left-back signings from Serie A, such as Destiny Udogie from Udinese last season. However, unless Lecce lowers their asking price, Tottenham might prioritize strengthening other positions.
Arsenal is also keen on signing Dorgu, valued at €30 million. However, with the club close to signing Ricardo Calafiori and already having several options on the left, they might pull out of the race for Dorgu.
Chelsea, in need of a left-back, is also in the running for Dorgu’s signature. However, the Blues might need to sell either Ben Chilwell or Marc Cucurella to make room for the young defender. Chelsea’s sporting directors are open to these sales, but there has been little interest from other clubs so far.
Dorgu, who has made six appearances for Denmark’s U21 team, is also eligible to represent Nigeria through his parents. His versatility and potential make him an attractive target for top clubs.
The transfer window heats up and it remains to be seen which club will secure Dorgu’s signature. One thing is certain – the young defender’s future looks bright, and he is poised to make a significant impact in the world of football.
