Luciano Spalletti hails Victor Osimhen’s flair in win against Spezia

Luciano Spalletti has praised the mentality shown by his side in their win at Spezia on Sunday particularly singling out Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s flair.

The league leaders won 3-0 against Spezia on Sunday to go top of the Serie A log with Osimhen scoring twice and Kvaratskhelia’s scoring a penalty.

Napoli are the current leaders of the Serie A log with 13 points difference to stay clear of second placed Inter Milan on 43 points.

“We had to work hard to get the breakthrough,” Luciano Spalletti said after the match.

“We need the flair and creativity of our top players, like what [Khvicha Kvaratskhelia] and Victor [Osimhen] showed today.”

“There are matches in which we need the willingness and mental ability of the whole team.”

“I have a quality group that proves its worth every time. We never intend to settle. Our goal is to try to win every game and we will play with great conviction in the Champions League too.”

“Here we want to step up and repay the love of the Napoli fans. Both in Italy and in Europe we want to be in with a shout until the end.”

Following his great form, Osimhen has been a subject of interest from European giants as they look to secure his services in the summer transfer window including PSG, Man Utd, Chelsea.

Osimhen is currently one of the most sought-after strikers following his fine form for Napoli and interested clubs like Man Utd, PSG and the likes will have to pay a significant fee to land him this summer.
