Mbwas Mangut sets ambitious target for Plateau United

Plateau United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, has reaffirmed the team’s ambition to secure a continental ticket in the 2024-25 season. The Peace Boys narrowly missed out on a spot last season, finishing fifth.

“We are determined to work towards achieving this target,” Mangut stated. “Every team in the league is pushing for a continental ticket, but it’s too early to guarantee success.”

Mangut reflected on last season’s near-miss, where Plateau United lost out in the final two games, including a crucial match against Shooting Stars. “We will remain focused and work hard to get there,” he emphasised.

Plateau United’s continental aspirations are driven by their impressive performance in the 2023-24 season. With a strong squad and renewed determination, the team is poised to make a significant impact in the NPFL.

“We have a talented squad, and our newly recruited players will make a significant contribution,” Mangut added.

The NPFL’s top teams will vie for the coveted continental spots. Plateau United will face stiff competition from the likes of Enugu Rangers, Kano Pillars, Akwa United, Rivers United.
