Rangers Int’l name Chinemerem Ugwueze as new captain

Nigeria Premier Football League champions Rangers have announced Chinemerem Ugwueze as their new captain, taking over from Chukwudi Nwodu who recently moved to Enyimba. Ugwueze’s appointment comes as the team prepares for the new season, which will begin with a CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Comoros side Union Sportive Zilimadjou.

Ugwueze, who has been tasked with coordinating the team to achieve their target for the new season, will lead the Flying Antelopes under the guidance of coach Fidelis Ilechukwu. The team has already begun preparations for the new season, with Ugwueze expected to play a key role in their success.

The appointment of Ugwueze as captain follows the departure of Chukwudi Nwodu, who had previously led the team to success. Nwodu’s assistant, Chidebere Nwobodo, has also moved to Rwandan champions APR FC, leaving a void in the team’s leadership.

Ugwueze’s experience and leadership skills make him an ideal candidate to take over as captain. He will be expected to lead by example and inspire his teammates to achieve their goals for the new season.

Rangers’ coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, will be relying on Ugwueze to help the team navigate the challenges of the new season. With the CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Union Sportive Zilimadjou just around the corner, Ugwueze will need to quickly settle into his new role and lead the team to success.

The appointment of Ugwueze as captain is a positive move for Rangers, and fans will be hoping that he can lead the team to continued success in the new season. With his experience and leadership skills, Ugwueze is well-equipped to handle the challenges that lie ahead.
