Remo Stars sign Peter Onuoha from Heartland on one-year deal

Remo Stars have announced the signing of Onuoha Peter from Heartland FC on a one-year contract, bolstering their squad ahead of the new Nigeria Premier Football League season.p

Heartland FC, founded as Spartans F.C. in 1976 and formerly known as Iwuanyanwu Nationale from 1985 to 2006, is a Nigerian football club based in Owerri. The team has a rich history, having reached the finals of the 1988 African Cup of Champions Clubs and 2009 CAF Champions League, and winning four straight Nigerian league titles from 1987 to 1990.

Onuoha joins Remo Stars from Heartland FC, where he played his home games at the Dan Anyiam Stadium and Okigwe Stadium. Heartland FC has a strong rivalry with Enyimba FC and Enugu Rangers, and Onuoha will be looking to make an impact in the upcoming campaign against these teams.

The Ikenne-based club took to social media to confirm the arrival of the striker, who joins a host of new players at Remo Stars. “Onuoha Peter has agreed on a deal with the Sky Blue Stars,” the club wrote. “The striker is set for a new 2024/25 league season.”
