Nigeria’s Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, is set to unveil the final 23-man squad for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe today.
The squad announcement, eagerly anticipated by fans, will be made at 3:00 PM via the Super Eagles’ official social media platforms.
The Super Eagles currently sit fifth in their qualification group, having secured only three points from four matches. Their campaign so far includes draws against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, as well as a disappointing defeat to Benin Republic. With Nigeria’s World Cup hopes on the line, securing victories in the upcoming fixtures is vital.
Selection Decisions
Chelle initially named a 39-man provisional squad, blending experience with new faces. However, the final selection will be narrowed down to the best-performing players who can help the team turn their fortunes around.
